Slack Connector Walkthrough/Guide
Purpose: This document is intended to provide a high level walkthrough of integrating the Levelpath platform to Slack.
What will I be able to do with this Slack connector?
The Levelpath + Slack connector will allow users to receive notifications within Slack regarding Project To-Dos, Comments, Approvals, and any other assignments made within projects they are collaborating with.
How do I connect to my Slack Workspace?
- Please be sure you are in an active session within your Levelpath, in other words, please be sure you are logged into your Levelpath production environment.
- In a new tab, head over to the integrations page on the Levelpath website: Here
- Once you click on "Add to Slack", you will be asked to select a channel for Levelpath to send notifications and updates. Select a specific channel and select “Allow”:
NOTE: When selecting a specific channel, look for the Direct Message to Yourself (You). All notifications are user specific, so selecting a team channel is not ideal.
- ALL SET! You will now be redirected to your Levelpath home page. Within your Slack profile, you will see Levelpath within your apps, as well as a notification in the selected channel confirming the connection has been established:
Additionally, the Slack command, “/link_levelpath_profile '' will allow you to link your Slack identity to Levelpath. Once this is complete, notifications will be specific to the user.
Levelpath is connected to my company's Slack Workspace. How do I connect and receive notifications as a user?
Great! All you need to within Slack is scroll down your channel's list and add the Levelpath App:
